Based on DLP technology, the ASK Proxima C170 device delivers 2000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768 and a contrast of 1000:1 as a projector. According to ASK Proxima, the included lamp lasts up to 2000 hours. Regarding projection size, the value of 2000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 389 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 259 cm. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. This model dates back to 2004 and is no longer part of ASK Proxima's current product range.

The projector is nice and small and produces a great picture. Thanks to the AUTO-KEYSTONE function, zoom lens and status display, it is quickly set up after installation and ready for use immediately. Running noise is quiet in ECO mode and is almost not disturbing. Simple and very clear operation. The device belongs in the class of better video projectors and is of very good quality. Very suitable as a home cinema device and presentation projector. Highly recommended.
