The Philips NeoPix Prime is a LED-LCD projector offering 500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 3000:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1280 x 720. An LED lifespan of 20000 hours is noted in the data sheet for this model – calculating to 13.7 years at four hours of use per day. To make performance data comparable based on the LED lumen values, we calculated an approximate ANSI lumen value. Looking at practical performance, up to 388 cm can be illuminated with 500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 259 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. Furthermore, the model is Bluetooth-enabled, allowing audio signals to be sent wirelessly to external speakers. The projector was released in 2019 and is officially no longer distributed by Philips. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.
