Designed for the Standard-Portabel sector, the TDP S8 model from Toshiba features 2000 ANSI lumens, a native SVGA 800 x 600 resolution and a contrast ratio of 2000:1. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 2000 hours. Looking at practical performance, up to 389 cm can be illuminated with 2000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 259 cm. This model dates back to 2005 and is no longer part of Toshiba's current product range.

For a projector with 800 resolution, the Toshiba produces a great picture. It is perfectly adequate for DVD movie nights. The colors and contrast are very good. The noise level could be a little lower, but it‘s not too annoying. I have now enjoyed over 1000 hours of movies and can only praise the S8. It has always performed reliably and without any problems.

Good projector
We have had the Toshiba S8 projector for 2 years. If you want a projector to watch TV or play a game or two with a console, the Toshiba S8 is exactly what you want. However, if you want to connect an HDTV-capable device or a PC, you should buy a projector with a higher resolution. I can‘t confirm that Flinti mentioned the soccer ball. So far, I‘ve always enjoyed watching sports on a big screen and the projector has never let me down
