The XEED WUX500 model is a LCOS projector from Canon, intended for Standard-Portabel applications, offering 5000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 at WUXGA 1920 x 1200. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 4000 hours for this projector's lamp – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. Thanks to the combination of optical lens shift and digital keystone correction, the projected image's position can be adjusted very flexibly. The Projection Calculator helps find the optimal installation dimensions. Looking at practical performance, up to 718 cm can be illuminated with 5000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 479 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. The model is perfectly equipped for complex installations: In addition to the RJ45 jack for network administration, an HDBaseT port is available, transporting high-resolution AV signals over a single Cat cable. Since entering the market in 2014, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.

Standard-Portabel | External training and company presentations, as well as product presentations. Wide screen width or rooms with plenty of light (over 200 lumens).
We use around 60 projectors (mainly installation devices 4000-6000 Ansi lumens) and are extremely satisfied with this device. In a 1:1 comparison with other projectors (including laser), the device has a much more brilliant picture. Of course, there is the small disadvantage of the longer switch-on/switch-off time compared to the laser. The device is not as big as a Sony FH36, but not too small either. The device has a 3-year guarantee on the lamp (depending on the country). The air filter size could be improved but is not a problem (we clean it once a year and when servicing such as replacing lamps etc.).
