The projector CR520X by Everest utilizes LCD technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 3000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 3000:1 at a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 4000 hours, which amounts to roughly 5.5 years at 2 hours of daily use. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 94 cm. A look at the light output reveals: The 3000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 477 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 318 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. Since entering the market in 2017, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
