The equipment of the Xiaomi L1 projector includes 224 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 with a HDTV 1920 x 1080 display. An LED lifespan of 30000 hours is noted in the data sheet for this model – calculating to 20.5 years at four hours of use per day. For basic image adjustment, the device is equipped with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, allowing digital compensation for trapezoidal distortion at angled projection setups. Because the manufacturer specifies brightness in ISO lumen values, we have determined an ANSI lumen value for better comparability. A look at the light output reveals: The 224 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 152 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 101 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K are supported. Thanks to Android TV, the device features an intuitive user interface with direct access to popular streaming apps. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. Furthermore, the model is Bluetooth-enabled, allowing audio signals to be sent wirelessly to external speakers. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 30 decibels.
