As a projector, the Dell 3400MP combines DLP technology with a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768, and is additionally specified with 1500 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 2100:1. According to Dell, the lamp has a durability of 3000 hours. Regarding projection size, the value of 1500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 337 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 225 cm. This model dates back to 2005 and is no longer part of Dell's current product range. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.

The Dell projector has been running since 2005 without any problems and has served me well in many presentations. But now I need a better resolution and unfortunately it‘s no longer necessary...

Old-but-good
I‘m a sales representative and use it for customer presentations. I‘ve been using it for 8 years now. There have been no failures and I am highly satisfied with the performance of this little helper. Sure - the light intensity could be even stronger. But a little dimming helps in rooms flooded with sunlight.

Mine is still alive
I just checked what rating the little one actually has. I‘ve had it for 5 years in almost daily use. Before that it was used. So it‘s been running for 8 years with the same lamp, great picture and very reliable. Now it‘s just become quite loud :)

The device imploded during a lecture. It had a maximum service life of 200 hours. Warranty had unfortunately just expired - no goodwill from Dell - motherboard defective, like many of these devices, which we have taken from various forums on the net.
