The hardware properties of the VX 50d manufactured by Runco include 6000 ANSI lumens, a HDTV 1280 x 720 resolution and a contrast value of 1800:1. According to Runco, the included lamp lasts up to 1000 hours. Thanks to the combination of optical lens shift and digital keystone correction, the projected image's position can be adjusted very flexibly. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Distance Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 6000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 787 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 525 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Since entering the market in 2005, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
