The projector PocketBeam Cube 2 by Merlin Digital utilizes proven projection technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 261 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1000:1 at a resolution of WVGA 854 x 480. For mobile use, grid-independent operation is possible for a maximum period of 2 hours thanks to the built-in battery. Because the manufacturer specifies brightness in lumen specifications, we have determined an ANSI lumen value for better comparability. Looking at practical performance, up to 164 cm can be illuminated with 261 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 109 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. For wireless audio output, the projector also supports Bluetooth, making it easy to quickly connect external soundbars. Since entering the market in 2019, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
