This projector is named MD 30053, originates from Medion, and its data sheet shows 700 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2200:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1280 x 720. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 2000 hours. Regarding projection size, the value of 700 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 269 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 179 cm. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 30 decibels. Since entering the market in 2006, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.

Very good home cinema projector, outstanding price-performance ratio
I‘ve owned this projector for over 2 weeks now and have tested it extensively.
As I‘m constantly working with the latest and unfortunately most expensive generation of projectors (10,000 Ansi for video shows, auditoriums, etc.), I was all the more curious to see what my not really seriously intended fun and spontaneous purchase from e*ay would be like. In this case, curiosity was more of a purchase decision with the intention of selling it on soon. In a darkened room (which is what makes a home cinema a home cinema), the projector impresses with a brilliant, true-color and bright picture with excellent contrast. The black also deserves its name, the light output is more than enough for my taste, even in Eco mode. All credit to Medion! A real pleasure. I wasn‘t able to find the so-called rainbow, very good. The only drawbacks are the somewhat rickety height adjustment, which you never change after setting up anyway, and the audible fan noise, which I‘m used to louder, but during quiet movie passages it does make an audible, if not annoying, noise.
For the sake of fun, I also experimented once when it was slightly cloudy and the curtains were open, but here you can see that it is not a presentation projector for daylight, you can see the film and a PowerPoint diagram will remain recognizable, but it is no longer a treat.
Nevertheless, 90 points and an unreserved recommendation to buy as a home cinema projector if it is not right next to your ear, if you want to entertain your audience with slide shows in broad daylight without darkening, you need something else. For the price, my Medion 30053 is now staying in my living room, contrary to my expectations

Super video projector for home theater
Hello,
I‘ve had the projector for about a week now. I am very happy with it. I got it on e-Bay as B-goods for only 449€ and it‘s really worth the money. We‘ll have to see how long the lamp lasts, but the picture quality is really very good (I‘ve already compared it with other HD-ready projectors, some of which cost twice as much. I can‘t see any difference). At the moment I‘m only projecting onto a bed sheet and the picture is still very good in a darkened room. You should definitely make sure that you need a darkened room with this projector, as it only has 700 ANSI lumens. However, if it is dark, the picture is great, no RBE, TOP black level and very rich colors. If you are looking for an affordable home theater, this is the right choice.
95 points because, in my opinion, it could be a tad quieter (at a distance of less than 1m). I don‘t mind because I have my system connected and the sound masks this well, but if you only watch through small speakers, it‘s okay, but not optimal.

great home theater
Bought it in the sale at Hofer (the last one in the showcase) for I think about 580,-. The decision to buy was rather spontaneous, it was only afterwards that I took a closer look at projectors and their technology. As an entry-level model for my home theater (projected onto the wall in the bedroom), it‘s a great choice. The colors are very natural, the black level is also very good, the light could be stronger to be able to use it for presentations in rooms that are not so well darkened, but it is perfect for the cinema experience at home. Oh yes, what else I noticed: Many adjustment options make it easy to quickly adapt it to new circumstances (if you take it with you somewhere), practical bag and all necessary cables are also included. I would say very good value for money.
