The PicoMax MX 500W is a DLP projector by Lumex, whose specifications list 520 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1000:1 and a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution. The manufacturer specifies a durability of 30000 hours for the LED light source, covering an estimated 20.5 years based on a 4-hour daily runtime. A look at the light output reveals: The 520 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 232 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 155 cm. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. The projector was released in 2014 and is officially no longer distributed by Lumex.
