With the PV12, Aopen offers a Laser-DLP projector that features 700 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 5000:1 and a resolution of WVGA 854 x 480. The LED unit of this model is rated for up to 20000 hours of runtime – equivalent to a usable life of 13.7 years at 4 hours a day. For basic image adjustment, the device is equipped with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, allowing digital compensation for trapezoidal distortion at angled projection setups. To reduce dependence on stationary power sources, the model is equipped with a built-in battery for autonomous operation. Regarding projection size, the value of 700 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 269 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 179 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. Furthermore, the model is Bluetooth-enabled, allowing audio signals to be sent wirelessly to external speakers. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 29 decibels.
